Derrynane House was the ancestral home of Daniel O'Connell, the Irish statesman who played an important role in gaining Catholic Emancipation in 1829.

Today some 120 hectares of the lands of Derrynane, together with Derrynane House, make up Derrynane National Historic Park. Plantations and garden walks were laid out in the 18th and 19th centuries, principally north and west of the house.

Some features of the demesne are strongly associated with Daniel O'Connell, including the old Summer House. The main area of the gardens, set inland and to the north of the house, can be reached through a tunnel under the road.

The Aqua Dome is one of Ireland’s largest indoor waterworlds and has many exciting features including sky high slides, waves, lazy river, rapids and an adult only sauna suite.

Located next to the Aqua Dome is an outdoor attraction called Aqua Golf, an 18 hole themed adventure golf course. Alongside Aqua Golf, play the coin operated remote control trucks and boats.

The Great Blasket Centre on the mainland in Dún Chaoin (Dunquin), on the tip of the Dingle Peninsula, is an interpretative centre/museum honouring the unique community who once lived on the Great Blasket Island. This community produced an extraordinary amount of literature, referred to as The Blasket Library, which includes classics such as The Islandman, Twenty Years A Growing and Peig.

The centre, which is operated by the Department of Environment, Heritage & Local Government, was opened in 1993 and overlooks the panorama of the Great Blasket and its family of surrounding islands.

Muckross House is a magnificent Victorian Mansion and one of Ireland’s leading stately homes. It is beautifully situated amidst the spectacular scenery of Killarney National Park – Ireland’s Premier National Park.

The elegantly furnished rooms portray the lifestyles of the landed gentry, while downstairs in the basement one can experience the working conditions of the servants employed in the House. Muckross House is also home to a number of skilled craftworkers who can be viewed using traditional skills in the crafts of weaving, pottery and bookbinding.

Many tender and exotic trees and shrubs flourish in the mild climate and sheltered location of the Muckross Gardens. Attractive features include a fine collection of rhododendrons and azaleas, an outstanding rock garden on a natural rock outcrop, and beautiful tree fringed lawns.

The Muckross Traditional Farms are an authentic outdoor interpretation, on a 70 acre elevated site, of rural life in Kerry in the 1930’s and 1940’s. The Traditional Farms present an authentic environment and experience of rural life in the early part of the 20th century. Traditional buildings and field systems are recreated and domestic farming and craft practices are carried out daily during the visitor season.

Crag cave is formed of limestone. It is a colourful wonderland of stalagmites and stalactites. Discovered in 1983 and thought to be over a million years old, this natural, all weather attraction has dramatic sound and lighting effects.

A visit to Crag Cave will delight and enthrall all ages and the friendly guides will explain the origins of the cave and introduce visitors to a world older than mankind.

The cave centre offers a restaurant with delicious home cooking and an extensive gift shop.The cave centre is also home to Crazy Cave - The Kingdoms Number One House of Fun! Crazy Cave is a new indoor adventure centre suitable for children from 0-12 years. It is a three tiered play system with mega astra slide, cannon guns, spiral slides, crazy maze & lots more. There is also separate toddler, baby and sports area.

The play area is priced separately and children must have adult superviaion at all times.

Kerry County Museum explores the archaeology and history of the county, with each object on display telling its own story, whether it is a beautiful sunflower pin worn by the fashion-conscious in the Bronze Age or duelling pistols used by the Liberator, Daniel O’Connell, in the early 19th century. Stroll through the streets of Tralee in 1450 AD in the Medieval Experience and experience the sights, sounds and smells of a bustling medieval community. Our award-winning Antarctica Exhibition tells the story of the heroic Annascaul man Tom Crean, one of the many colourful characters brought to life at Kerry County Museum.

This heritage centre tells the story of the Skellig rocks. There are four themes covered in the exhibition:

• The history and archaeology of Skellig Michael's Early Christian monastery.
• The sea birds who are such a part of the Skelligs, their habitat and their world wide travels.
• The lighthouses which have given 161 years of service to mariners.
• The underwater Skellig, which has colour and magic equal to any sea in the world.

These themes are explored using graphics, models, exhibition items, reconstruction and sound of sea birds and lighthouse keeper ship-to-shore communication.

Kingdom Greyhound Stadium is a three level multi-function complex with excellent facilities. The stadium is glass fronted and contains a Grandstand restaurant, lounge bar and fastfood facilities. There are two hospitality suites on level three which cater for group/tourbus bookings.

Kenmare was designated a Heritage Town by Fáilte Ireland. The town was designated under the theme a "Planned Estate Town". The Centre was offically opened in June 1994 by the then President of Ireland, Ms. Mary Robinson.

There is ample parking outside the Centre.

The Centre covers various themes including Famous Visitors to Kenmare, The Nun of Kenmare, Kenmares history and historical sites, Effects of the Famine on Kenmare and the Landlords of Kenmare. The Centre also has a Kenmare Lace Exhibition.

An integral part of the Experience of the Kenmare Story is to visit the Historical sites after visiting the Centre. The Heritage Trail map will show you at first hand some of the delights of Kenmare. All the sites are within walking distance from the Centre and the trail takes about 40 minutes to complete.

Dingle Aquarium is situated in Dingle town opposite the Marina. Exciting displays include Amazon display including piranha, poisonous frogs and catfish. Jellyfish and seahorse display. Feel the fish life in the touch pool, walk through the underwater tunnel, come face to face with the sharks and Molly the turtle.

A day at Dingle Oceanworld Aquarium is always packed with fun.
